Canton came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lindale Eagles by a score of 41-28. Given Canton's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Lindale is ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canton has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Lindale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.

Canton will host Kemp at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Canton's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Kemp has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
