Basketball Recap: Pilot Point Comes Up Short

After flying high against Trenton last Thursday, Pilot Point came back down to earth. The Pilot Point Bearcats fell just short of the Lindsay Knights by a score of 64-61 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bearcats have suffered since December 29, 2023.

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lindsay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lindsay knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Pilot Point likes a good challenge. Lindsay has already played their next match, a 60-51 defeat against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 14th.
