Soccer Recap: Beacon Hill Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Beacon Hill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glendale Adventist Cougars on Monday. If the Gryphon were looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Their goal came courtesy of Beni Georgescu.

The win made it two in a row for Glendale Adventist and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

Beacon Hill wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 13-1 victory against Gorman Learning Charter - Santa Clarita on the 10th. Glendale Adventist has also already played their next contest, a 17-0 win against Westmark on the 10th.
