Volleyball Recap: Immaculate Heart Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Jefferson Township on Thursday, Immaculate Heart Academy came back down to earth. The Blue Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the NV - Old Tappan Golden Knights on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Eagles of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Immaculate Heart Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made NV - Old Tappan work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 26-24, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Immaculate Heart Academy lost, don't look at Lilith Roman. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Ella Kovalcik, who had 18 digs.

Immaculate Heart Academy's loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5. As for NV - Old Tappan, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

As of now, neither Immaculate Heart Academy nor the Golden Knights have any future games scheduled.
