Arleta made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Gate, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Rams on Saturday. Considering the Mustangs have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

OLIVIA FIGUEROA spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, JUSTINE MEJIA was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. KARINA SANCHEZ was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Arleta's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for South Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Arleta didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 victory against Vasquez on the 5th. As for South Gate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against Chavez on the 5th.
