Lejeune has gone 9-1 against Jones recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Devilpups will head out to take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Lejeune proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Northside - Pinetown.

Lejeune wouldn't go down easily and took Northside - Pinetown into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-23, 15-5.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Jones sidestepped Washington Montessori for a 3-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Jones had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 13-25, 24-26, 25-11, 25-10, 15-9.

Lejeune's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Jones, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Lejeune came out on top in a nail-biter against Jones in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Devilpups since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
