The Evergreen Park Mustangs will face off against the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Evergreen Park earned a 2-0 victory over Tinley Park. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.
Evergreen Park easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15.

Tess Lee and Madison Majka were among the main playmakers for Evergreen Park as the former had seven aces and three digs and the latter had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Majka has posted over her last 14 contests. Brooke Campbell also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Evergreen Park was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thornton Fractional South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Crete-Monee on Monday. The Red Wolves haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Thornton Fractional South had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 25-20, 25-14.
Thornton Fractional South's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Evergreen Park, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Evergreen Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Thornton Fractional South when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Red Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
