Wellington-Napoleon strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 43-39 W against the Concordia Fighting Orioles. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 39-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Wellington-Napoleon found their leader in freshman Anniston Hampton, who posted 18 points and five boards.

Wellington-Napoleon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Wellington-Napoleon's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Concordia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Wellington-Napoleon will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Lone Jack at 7:00 p.m. As for Concordia, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crest Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
