Volleyball Recap: Marcus Falls Despite Big Games from Daiva Tennison and Addelyn Cooke

After flying high against Lewisville on Friday, Marcus came back down to earth. The Marauders lost 3-0 to the Hebron Hawks on Tuesday. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Marcus had strong showings from Addelyn Cooke, who had 13 digs and three aces, and Daiva Tennison, who had eight digs. Cooke is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Marcus' defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Hebron, they pushed their record up to 21-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marcus is set to take on their familiar foe Braswell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hebron will square off against rival Guyer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
