Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Lakeside Lancers

The Liberty Bison will challenge the Lakeside Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Thursday, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat Poly and fell 2-1. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Vogt, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to Valley View.

David Rodriguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Liberty came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakeside in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Bison have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
