Preview: Christian Brothers vs. Pacheco

Christian Brothers has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Pacheco Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Christian Brothers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Tigers 2-1. Colin Ross had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Christian Brothers.

Meanwhile, Pacheco entered their tilt with Linden with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pacheco's defense stepped up to hand Linden a 2-0 shutout on Friday. Two seems to be a good number for Pacheco as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Christian Brothers pushed their record up to 11-3-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those seven games. As for Pacheco, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4-2 record this season.
