Volleyball Game Preview: Simi Valley Pioneers vs. Calabasas Coyotes

The Simi Valley Pioneers will face off against the Calabasas Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Simi Valley came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Camarillo, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Scorpions: they've now lost three in a row.

While Simi Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Calabasas lost 3-0 to Camarillo on Monday.

Calabasas was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-6, 25-16.

Simi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Calabasas, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
