Baseball Recap: Bethany Community's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bethany Community never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Millennium Lions with a sharp 28-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Landen Long made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Long was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other pitching news, Ryan Rudd looked comfortable as he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Back at the plate, Bethany Community got a massive performance out of Tripp White, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. White also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Cohen Brame was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Bethany Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Bethany Community's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Millennium, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Bethany Community will head out to square off against Leadership Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethany Community's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Leadership Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Millennium will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop McGuinness at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
