Basketball Recap: Wakulla Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port St. Joe, Wakulla was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 69-55 win over the Community Christian Chargers. The victory was some much needed relief for the War Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Wakulla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demarkus Roberts led the charge by going 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Vaughn, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Wakulla's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Community Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Wakulla and Nature Coast Tech will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Community Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Munroe at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
