Softball Game Preview: Delavan-Darien Comets vs. East Troy Trojans

Delavan-Darien is on a 15-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and East Troy a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Delavan-Darien Comets will welcome the East Troy Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Delavan-Darien came up short against Catholic Memorial on Friday, falling 13-6.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for East Troy's offense. They lost 15-0 to Oregon on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Delavan-Darien's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for East Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Delavan-Darien might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from East Troy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
