Basketball Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears vs. Wausa Vikings

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to Wausa 42-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge had strong showings from Gibson Roberts, who scored 18 points along with two steals, and Kolby Hansen, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Haisch, who scored five points.

Wausa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Schlote, who scored 14 points. Matthew Schindler was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Wausa, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.

As for Wausa, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bees at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Bloomfield is ranked 169th, while the Vikings are ranked 182nd).
