Softball Game Preview: Explorations Academy vs. Walton Wildcats

Explorations Academy will venture away from home to face off against the Walton Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Explorations Academy has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Explorations Academy came up short against Evander Childs on Friday, falling 22-9.

Meanwhile, Walton made easy work of Stevenson on Friday and carried off a 13-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Walton pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Explorations Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Explorations Academy might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Walton when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Explorations Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
