Haleyville had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They blew past the Jasper Vikings 10-2. Considering the Lions have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jadyn Marbutt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Cooper McNutt was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Carson Gilbert, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Haleyville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.

Haleyville's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Jasper, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Haleyville Lions take on T.R. Miller Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. T.R. Miller will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Haleyville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jasper, they will take on West End at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
