Kennard-Dale and Eastern York are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Rams will take on the Golden Knights at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennard-Dale has three straight wins, Eastern York has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, Kennard-Dale was able to grind out a solid victory over Penn Manor, taking the game 11-7.
Gio Sisti made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Sisti was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Micah Smith, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Kennard-Dale's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Noah Hoffer was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
Kennard-Dale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn Manor only managed nine hits.
Meanwhile, Eastern York came up short against Solanco on Friday and fell 7-4.
Kiernan Snyder was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits.
On the hitting side, Eastern York saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Mills, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Parker Strayer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Kennard-Dale's record now sits at 5-3. As for Eastern York, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Kennard-Dale skirted past Eastern York 6-4 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
