Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Wyoming

Wyoming had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Finneytown Wildcats as they made off with an 18-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 back in April.

Wyoming got a massive performance out of Ginny Theobald, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Theobald has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Libby Williams, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Wyoming always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Wyoming now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Finneytown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wyoming will challenge Mariemont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.07 runs per game on average), something the Cowboys will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Finneytown, they will square off against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
