Academy of Notre Dame came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 5, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Isabelle Andrews was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jacqui Martineau, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Academy of Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Notre Dame will welcome Mystic Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
