Football Preview: La Junta Tigers vs. Lamar Thunder
After each having a week off, the La Junta Tigers and the Lamar Thunder will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
La Junta's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against The Classical Academy last Saturday. They were outmatched by the Titans at home and fell 46-0. That makes it the first time this season the Tigers have let down their home crowd.
Meanwhile, Lamar put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They pulled ahead with a 7-6 photo finish over Burlington. While the Thunder didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
