Football Game Preview: Winterset vs. North Polk

North Polk will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Winterset at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.

North Polk was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put the hurt on Grinnell with a sharp 39-14 win.

Meanwhile, Winterset fought the good fight in their overtime game last week but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it as the squad lost 39-40 to Bondurant-Farrar.

North Polk's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Winterset's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
