Basketball Recap: ACERO Garcia Comes Up Short

ACERO Garcia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Back of the Yards College Prep Bobcats, falling 86-22. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-30 back in November of 2024.

ACERO Garcia's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Back of the Yards College Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ACERO Garcia and Kelly will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Back of the Yards College Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cristo Rey Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
