Volleyball Game Preview: Stanton Mustangs vs. Randolph Cardinals

Stanton is a perfect 3-0 against Randolph since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mustangs will face off against the Cardinals at 10:00 a.m. Randolph took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Stanton, who comes in off a win.

Stanton not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past Howells-Dodge 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Stanton was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stanton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylan Hansen, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Hansen has posted over her last eight contests.

Meanwhile, Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Bloomfield.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.

Stanton's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Stanton beat Randolph 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
