Basketball Recap: O'Fallon Comes Up Short

O'Fallon was the 48-31 winner over Triad when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The O'Fallon Panthers took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Triad Knights on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Knights are ranked 123rd).

O'Fallon has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Triad, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

O'Fallon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Collinsville at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Triad, they will take on Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Triad has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
