Baseball Game Preview: West Las Vegas Dons vs. Hot Springs Tigers

The West Las Vegas Dons will face off against the Hot Springs Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in West Las Vegas' favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hot Springs has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, West Las Vegas didn't have quite enough to beat Robertson and fell 4-3. The game marked the Dons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hot Springs and Cobre, and Cobre kept the tradition alive. The Tigers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 9-8 on Saturday.

Hot Springs got a big performance out of James Oros Fuentes, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hunter Montoya, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Hot Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for West Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
