Basketball Recap: Harlingen Skates Past King with Ease

Harlingen won the last time they faced King and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Harlingen Cardinals breezed by the King Brahmas to the tune of 77-41. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Brahmas are ranked 724th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Harlingen and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for King, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Harlingen Cardinals duke it out with the Weslaco Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. Harlingen knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Weslaco likes a good challenge. As for King, they will venture away from home to take on Kaufer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
