Basketball Recap: Addi Reichenbach Key Part of Team Effort in Fighting Scots Win

There's no place like home for Highland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past the Mt. Gilead Indians with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 39-23. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Scots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addi Reichenbach led the charge by putting up eight points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave Reichenbach a new career-high. Ellie Rhea also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Highland's record now sits at 6-16. As for Mt. Gilead, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-30 defeat against Fairbanks on the 14th. As for Mt. Gilead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-27 loss against Centerburg on the 13th.
