Softball Recap: Evans Takes a Loss

Evans was the 6-2 winner over Converse when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Evans Eagles fell 5-1 to the Converse Wildcats on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly four runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Evans and nudges their season record down to 2-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Ebarb (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.9% over those games). As for Converse, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Evans didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-3 loss against Captain Shreve on the 15th. As for Converse, they have also already played their next matchup, a 22-4 victory against Ebarb on the 17th.
