Soccer Recap: Edmeston Central Finds Playoff Glory Versus Colton-Pierrepont

Edmeston Central extended their postseason success on Saturday against Colton-Pierrepont. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Colts. The win was all the more spectacular given Edmeston Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Colton-Pierrepont are ranked 37th).

Edmeston Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-3 record this season. As for Colton-Pierrepont, they moved to 3-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Edmeston Central will challenge Fillmore at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Colton-Pierrepont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
