Soccer Game Preview: Pac-Five vs. Damien

Pac-Five is 10-0 against Damien since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pac-Five Wolfpack will take on the Damien Monarchs in a holiday battle at at 4:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pac-Five came up short against Punahou on Monday, falling 5-2. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Damien faced St. Louis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Damien might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting St. Louis an easy 5-1 win. The Monarchs have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Damien's goal came courtesy of Sam Kawakami, which was the first he's scored this season.

Pac-Five now has a losing record at 1-2-1. As for Damien, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Pac-Five's way against Damien in their previous matchup back in January, as Pac-Five made off with an 8-0 victory. Will Pac-Five repeat their success, or does Damien have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
