A feisty cat fight will be fought as Saucon Valley Panthers duke it out with Northwestern Lehigh Tigers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Northwestern Lehigh will be up against a hot Saucon Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Saucon Valley put the hurt on Catasauqua with a sharp 17-3 victory on Thursday.

Noah Hubert made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cole Hubert, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Chris Hill, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Saucon Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Catasauqua only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Northwestern Lehigh never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Catasauqua. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Rough Riders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Jake Carson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Jesse Neupauer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.
Back at the plate, Watson Church was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Brady Krimmel was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Saucon Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their record is now 6-0.
Both Saucon Valley and Northwestern Lehigh just can't seem to miss. Saucon Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Northwestern Lehigh struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Saucon Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwestern Lehigh in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 5-0. Does Saucon Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwestern Lehigh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
