On Friday, the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves faced the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory walked away with a 59-50 win over Guerin Catholic. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory has scored all year.

It was another big night for Javawn Brooks, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Evan Haywood, who scored 14 points.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Guerin Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will take on Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is ranked 25th). As for Guerin Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Kendrick Martin and Robert Sorensen.
