Basketball Recap: Beardstown Comes Up Short

Beardstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 49-25 to the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-11.

Jadyn Climer was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine boards for Hamilton/Warsaw. Climer has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Grothaus, who posted eight points and six boards.

Beardstown's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Beardstown will head out to square off against Pittsfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-34 win against Clark County on the 15th.
