Basketball Recap: Hannan Comes Up Short

After flying high against Van last Tuesday, Hannan came back down to earth. The Hannan Wildcats came up short against Parkersburg Christian on Thursday, falling 44-24. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with Parkersburg Christian: they've now lost three in a row.

Parkersburg Christian found their leader in freshman Kenzi Lucas, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 boards set a new season-high mark for Lucas. Another player making a difference was Shianne Posey, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Hannan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Parkersburg Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cross Lanes Christian the next time they take the court. Parkersburg Christian will head out to face Cross Lanes Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hannan will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
