Football Recap: Lima Senior Takes Down Aiken in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Lima Senior rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Aiken Falcons, posting a 62-20 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 31 points or more this season.

Ja'Niaus Avanti K'Mere Hall was his usual excellent self, rushing for 74 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 310 yards and three touchdowns. His passing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 307 passing yards. Lima Senior's leading receiver Jeff Williams was Avanti K'Mere Hall's top target yet again, picking up 122 receiving yards and one TD.

The win was the seventh in a row for Lima Senior, bringing their record up to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.7 points on average over those games. As for Aiken, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Lima Senior didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-12 loss against Trotwood-Madison on the 7th. Aiken does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
