Soccer Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

After flying high against Swain County on Thursday, Highlands came back down to earth. The Highlanders fell 4-2 to the Summit Charter Bears on Friday. Highlands were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Summit Charter earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Rowen Carnes and Aniah McKim scored both of Highlands' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Summit Charter, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

As of now, neither Highlands nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
