Preview: El Primero Lobos vs. San Jose Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the El Primero Lobos will get right back to it and host the San Jose Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. San Jose took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on El Primero, who comes in off a win.
El Primero scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 69-45 victory. That 69-45 margin sets a new team best for El Primero this season.
JOSH CHAVEZ continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of El Primero's points. GUSTAVO MALVAES was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, San Jose's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 51-39 to Ann Sobrato.
El Primero's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for San Jose, they bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
El Primero was dealt a bruising 74-43 defeat at the hands of San Jose when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can El Primero avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
