Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belleville East). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the East St. Louis Flyers a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Belleville East's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for East St. Louis, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Belleville East will take on Pinckneyville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East St. Louis, they will challenge Roxana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Flyers are facing the Shells at the right time seeing as the Shells are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
