Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Stockton Tigers

The Lakeside Knights will face off against the Stockton Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lakeside saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Rock Hills.

Despite their defeat, Lakeside saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Eli Schmitt, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 25 points and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Liam Christians was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Stockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to Thunder Ridge at home by a 74-55 margin.

Stockton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Lakeside against Stockton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-28 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
