Softball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

If Jefferson was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Linden-Kildare last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jefferson Bulldogs lost 7-1 to the Longview Lobos on Thursday. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jefferson moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs over those games. As for Longview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Longview will both be playing Hooks the next time they take the field. Longview will head out to face Hooks at 10:05 a.m. on Friday, while Jefferson will head out to face them at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
