Softball Recap: Ballinger Drops Season-High Score on Bangs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ballinger). They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Bangs Dragons on Monday. The Bearcats not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10, 2025 (when they won 17-1).

The win made it two in a row for Ballinger and bumps their season record up to 4-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Bangs, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ballinger is set to take on their familiar foe Cross Plains at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Bangs will challenge rival Cisco at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
