Soccer Game Preview: Hilton Head Island vs. Bishop England

The Hilton Head Island Seahawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Bishop England Battling Bishops at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Hilton Head Island put up the most goals they have all season on Tuesday. They never let Colleton County get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Given Hilton Head Island's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Colleton County are ranked 149th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop England made easy work of Bluffton on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Bishop England, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Bluffton from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Ava Delpino led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Bishop England is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those 11 contests. As for Hilton Head Island, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.
