Baseball Recap: Adams Central's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Adams Central dropped their record down to 15-6 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They lost 13-0 to the Norris Titans. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Norris, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-7 record. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

For Norris' part, Crew Moeller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Moeller has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Norris got a massive performance out of Jordan Monroe, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Monroe's first of the season. Kaden Fredenburg was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs.

Adams Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-2 victory against Central City/Centura on the 29th. As for Norris, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Gretna on the 29th.
