The home team had won the previous three meetings between King and Chamberlain, and King kept the tradition alive. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Storm on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Torey Thomas was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Brown, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

King's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Chamberlain, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Looking ahead, King will square off against Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chamberlain, they will face off against Leto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
