Basketball Game Preview: Huffman Vikings vs. Parker Thundering Herd + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Huffman Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Parker Thundering Herd at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Parker took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Huffman, who comes in off a win.

Huffman will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Spain Park, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jaguars 42-40. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Zaryah Johnson, who posted 11 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasant Grove.

Huffman will have to contain Kamichael Richardson as she made an impact in Parker's last game. She made all 8 shots she took for 21 points and three steals. Richardson has become a key player for Parker: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-5 otherwise. Ardiamond Phillips also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Huffman picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Parker, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Huffman strolled past Parker in their previous meeting last Monday by a score of 58-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
