Diego Rivera has gone a perfect 7-0 against West Adams recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Diego Rivera will be strutting in after a win while West Adams will be coming in after a defeat.

Diego Rivera took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Math & Science College Preparatory, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Sharks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted against the Sharks since March 10, 2022.

Diego Rivera wouldn't go down easily and took Math & Science College Preparatory into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 15-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-7.

Meanwhile, West Adams didn't have quite enough to beat Math & Science College Preparatory on Friday and fell 3-2. The Panthers have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

The victory snapped Diego Rivera's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-11 record. As for West Adams, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Diego Rivera took their win against West Adams when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
