Basketball Recap: Monarch Takes a Loss

Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Horizon Prep Lions. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monarch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Horizon Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monarch will take on King-Chavez Community at 3:45 p.m. on December 2. As for Horizon Prep, they will square off against Escondido Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
