Softball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was the 18-8 winner over Jackson when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Bearcats lost 10-2 to the Timberwolves on Monday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Jackson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Monroe will challenge Marysville Getchell at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monroe's pitchers better be ready for this one: Marysville Getchell has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Jackson, they will head out to square off against Cascade at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
